In the month of May we always have a Mother's Day,
It is very special but not a holiday.
It is a day set aside to give honor where honor is due,
Mom, you're our dearest friend, one that's faithful and true. Our family has more blessings than most families share,
The greatest is knowing that your love is always there.
You're a Mom we're so proud of; a Grammie that's adored,
You're our dearest friend and a special child of God.You watched us grow and travel on our own way,
Together with our spouse, on our special wedding day.
As each one left, you softly whispered a little prayer,
For the Lord to guide us, whether we be near or far.Days passed by so swiftly, the weeks, months and years,
We watched as some silver entered in your hair.
Honors came, trials, deaths, and fears,
You always showed us courage, through the many years. We tried to be good children as we traveled life's road,
To show you love and kindness to help lighten your load.
The memory of our childhood years, we treasure most of all,
Is when we gave our hearts to God, and listened for His call. Many times, we saw you sad, with your head bowed low,
As you asked God to save our dad, the one we all loved so.
We were at the church, the night the door opened wide,
And saw our dad's smiling face, as he slowly walked inside. He was the greatest dad and we could never ask for more,
We plan to see him again, when we get to Heaven's Shore.
What a day it will be, when we meet Jesus whom we love,
To worship at His feet in our Heavenly Home above. We thank you for all the love you've shared,
The sweet things you do, just to show you care.
We may not say "I love you Mom," as often as others do,
But we are so proud and honored, to have a Mom like you.
